About

Hello and welcome to PDQ.

I work as a freelance international development consultant,  specialising in the areas of education, gender, conflict prevention and community development. I have extensive experience in the field, mainly in West Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

I was previously employed as Senior Lecturer at the Centre for International Development and Training, University of Wolverhampton and am now Senior Associate at Education for Change.  I have worked on British Council programmes and carried out evaluations for the British government, the European Union and the United Nations.  From 2007-2009, I was Honorary Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University, acting as Assistant Editor for the International Journal of Cuban Studies.

This website is intended as a record of my work and a means by which potential clients can make contact with me. It is also for sharing some of my experiences with colleagues and friends. And I hope that it will prove to be of passing interest for other visitors, to learn a little of how international development gets done. Finally, the website serves as a link to other areas of my life and work.

Please feel free to email me at patricia (dot) daniel2000 (at) gmail (dot) com.

Note: This is the new website of Patricia Daniel, previously operating at “www.patriciadaniel.org.uk”,  which is now offline. The new website is still a work in progress…

A list of earlier work (up to 2004) can be found at http://freespace.virgin.net/pat.daniel/Publications.htm
